2025-2026 fundraising campaign

Houston Design Collaborative was founded to spark cross-disciplinary conversations and action around design, planning, development, fabrication, and construction in Greater Houston. Our vision is to build a vibrant and engaged design community!
Through our crowdfunding campaign, “WE ARE HERE”, we aim to raise $25,000 by February 2026 to launch the organization and create a solid financial foundation for HDC to fulfil our vision.
Each contribution will support programming and events.
All donations will be acknowledged and donors will be intived to our Launch Party in Q1 2026.

The Uptown Memorial Park Trail & Bridge Project
Representatives from SWA Group and the Uptown District highlighted the Memorial Park Trail & Bridge project currently under construction.
The suspension bridge and elevated walk system will allow cyclists & pedestrians to enjoy the local park network, which includes Buffalo Bayou, the Houston Arboretum, and Memorial Park and the historic Archery Range site.

Lecture and Book Signing with Megan Kimble, author of City Limits
“In City Limits, journalist Megan Kimble weaves together the origins of urban highways with the stories of ordinary people impacted by our failed transportation system.”
Ms. Kimble explored her work and unique perspective during a lecture held at The MATCH.

Buffalo Bayou Partnership will transform Turkey Bend, a former barge terminal containing multiple warehouses and a dramatic wharf, into a vibrant recreational and cultural destination.

Our first official event was a Hard Hat tour of the landmark project, Ismaili Center Houston, designed by Farshid Moussavi Architecture.
